WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE MIDST OF A STORM?

There are diverse types of storms we all have or will experience. It could be a physical health storm, financial storm, relationship storm, marital storm, or an actual weather-related storm. When it comes to weather-related storms, there seems to be an increase in activity, as well as other types of personal storms you may be experiencing. Even Jesus’ disciples had to deal with storms in their lives. No one is exempt.

Matthew 7:24-27 (KJV), Jesus is in the boat with his disciples, sleeping when a storm arises, and the disciples, yes, His disciples become fearful and anxious and wake Him up for help. Jesus speaks to the wind and the waves, and they obey Him and cease. When you are facing storms of life, always go to God in prayer. Jesus is the answer to whatever you are experiencing, no matter what it is! Believe in Jesus and His authority, and invite Him to calm the storm, whatever your situation is. He truly cares.

Psalm 91:10-11 (KJV) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. And Psalm 107:20 (KJV) He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions, has been my “go to “scripture most of my life. God watches over His Word to preform them on your behalf when we pray.

Voices of others and circumstances can become louder if you do not stay connected to and trust God! Be careful what you consistently watch and listen to when you are in a difficult or unfamiliar situation. What you do consistently is what you will become, good or bad. Be Consistent in immediately going to God when storms arise. I cannot tell you the numerous times I have cried out to God for His divine wisdom, direction, peace, and strength! When I decreed the Word of God over those storms of life. He would always give me instructions like this. “Be Still and Know That I AM God,” Psalm 46:10 (KJV). Guess what? He will do the same for You.

His Word said, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 (KJV) & Psalm 107:20 (KJV) He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. This assures that Just like Jesus was in the boat with the disciples, He is ALWAYS WITH YOU, regardless of where you are!

So, what do you do in the midst of a storm? Pray and invite God into your situation.

We serve an awesome God! So, when God tells you to do something, obey Him, even though it is not a popular decision or following what everyone else is doing or saying. It is best always to obey God! I wish I could tell you that I have obeyed everything God has told me to do, but I have not. But I have learned, and I am still learning to trust God rather than man all the time.

(Psalm 118:8 NIV) So, do not be anxious about anything, but pray about everything, and let God lead you.

Be Still and Know That HE IS GOD!
