Although the situation below happened to me several years ago, I sensed the need to repost because many of you are dealing with something similar and this message will minister to you.
A few years ago, I went through a transition on my job, but didn’t know that God was preparing me for my current position with another company. For months I had a desert experience where I felt disconnected with my co-workers and everything pertaining to that company. I finally asked God “what is going on with me?” and I believe the answer He gave me is for a lot of you. Just replace “job” with ministry, relationship, or whatever
your desert place may be.
“The reason you feel that you can’t find your place in this company is because this company is not a long-term place for you. You’re only passing through. If I allowed you to get comfortable and “fit in” you will become stuck and not move when I say move.”
God is the owner of everything in this universe, and if He wants to elevate you there’s nothing man can do to stop it. Don’t spend your time getting frustrated at people when it seems like they are trying to hold you back or take something from you that you feel you are entitled to. God will fight for you if there is a battle to be fought.
“So don’t get distracted with what’s going on around you but know that there is always a bigger picture. You’ve only seen a part, but I have something greater for you! Keep your ear close to my lips and I will tell you what to do, how to do it and when. Don’t listen to the opinions of man but listen to me. I will steer you in the right direction, and the end result will be great, saith the Lord.”
God’s voice won’t be loud, but it will be clear.
