MAYDAY!!!

MAYDAY!!!  What does Mayday mean?

Mayday is the word used around the world to make a distress call via radio communications. Mayday signals a life-threatening emergency, usually on a ship or a plane, although it may be used in a variety of other situations. Procedure calls for the mayday distress signal to be said three times in a row. In addition, Mayday means to PRAY or to cry out for help!

We are in a life-threatening emergency in America, Spiritually. We do not have to be in a Life-Threatening Emergency because Jesus has already shown us and given us Himself and His Word on how to live life in abundance in every area. As a Nation and as individuals, we need to humble ourselves, repent, and pray for our nation. As a Nation, 2 Chronicles 7:14 states, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. We have become too complacent!

As individuals, freedom is what Jesus Christ offers us through salvation when we humble ourselves, cry out to God -Mayday, and ask Him to be the Lord and Savior of our lives on the day we accept Christ as our savior and pledge our allegiance to Him. Galatians 5:1 states, “It was for this freedom that Christ set us free [completely liberating us]; therefore, keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed].” That yoke is sin. Luke 16:13 stands as a message to us not to allow other things to compete with our love for Christ and each other. “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon [that is, your earthly possessions or anything else you trust in and rely on instead of God].”

Galatians 5:13-14 admonishes us to remember this: You were called to freedom; only do not let your freedom become an opportunity for the sinful nature (worldliness, selfishness), but through love serve and seek the best for one another. For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is fulfilled in one precept, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, you shall have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit].”

Let us HUMBLES OURSELVES and PRAY and get back to our First Love, JESUS! Let us Share the gospel of the good news of Jesus Christ. Let us love and pray for our country and one another as Christ loves us, AMEN!

PRAYER:

Jesus, I need you, and I repent of my sins. Forgive me. Jesus, come into my heart and be the Lord and Savior of my life. I believe You died for my sins, and you were raised from the dead. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Thank you for your grace, love, mercy, and thank you for saving me in Jesus’ Name. Amen

Now, God, I pray for America and ask you to forgive us as a nation and heal our land in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
