Freedom: Our Life in Christ

Freedom is what Christ offered us through salvation. While the United States celebrates July 4th as Independence Day, we have our personal Independence Day, the day we accepted Christ as our savior and pledged our allegiance to Him. Galatians 5:1 states, “It was for this freedom that Christ set us free [completely liberating us]; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery [which you once removed].” That yoke is sin. Luke 16:13 stands as a message to us not to allow other things to compete with our love for Christ and each other. Read More

Angels: Their Purpose

I know some of you do not totally believe that there are angels, but they are just as real as you are. There are scriptures in the Bible about angels from Genesis to Revelation. We all have angels, guardian angels assigned to us for protection. Psalm 91:11-12 declares that to be the truth: For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thus dash thy foot against a stone. In these times we are living now, we always need the supernatural angelic protection and Read More

BEING GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL

Luke 17:12,14-19 GW [12] As he went into a village, ten men with a skin disease met him. They stood at a distance [14] When he saw them, he told them, “Show yourselves to the priests.” As they went, they were made clean. [15] When one of them saw that he was healed, he turned back and praised God in a loud voice. [16] He quickly bowed at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. (The man was a Samaritan.) [17] Jesus asked, “Weren’t ten men made clean? Where are the other nine? [18] Only this foreigner came back to praise God.” Read More

FAITH OVER FEAR

Isaiah 46:10 MSG [God Is There Standing] From the very beginning telling you what the ending will be, All along letting you in on what is going to happen, Assuring you, ‘I’m in this for the long haul, I’ll do exactly what I set out to do.’ This is a great scripture to meditate on while waiting on our promise to be manifested. All challenges are made up of three things: the problem, the process, and the promise. The process is where many people give up and quit because it can feel as though you’re never coming out of it. LET LOVE RULE: Part 2

Continuing our talk from last month: Allow God’s love to work through you. Love is not selfish and prideful. There is no shame is in pure agape love.  Be mature and be the first to forgive and apologize. Remember this: just because he/she did not kiss you before they left the house or didn’t do what was the needful thing to do does not mean that you/I will not or should not embrace him/her throughout the day with a form of communication and love. Because it is not just our conversations, the scriptures say, “we will/can win the unbelieving or Read More

LET LOVE RULE

Early Morning Word Regarding Love 2/1/2016 I have a heart for and desire to see marriages flourish. Please use each day to be there for each other, spend quality time together, and have a discussion with your mate face-to-face. If you are out there on Facebook blogging, posting, or spending more time on Facebook more than you are having FACE-TO-FACE time with your spouse, and everyone and everything has higher priority than your spouse, then you need to check yourself. Marriage is good, and you need to respect your spouse and love them with all that you have within your Read More

TRUST: DO WE REALLY TRUST GOD? IT’S A HEART THING!

TRUST! How do we define TRUST? TRUST is a “firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.” TRUST is  synonymous with FAITH. During this season of newness (new year, new friendships, new vision, new jobs), God is doing a work in our hearts, because it is a heart thing with God (Mark 12:30, Proverbs 4:23). Do we really trust God? We can say a lot with our lips, but our hearts are far from it (Matthew 15:8, Proverbs 23:26). God will free us up from the weight that we carry but we must continue to Read More

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” As we prepare to spend time with our family and friends, let’s not forget Isaiah’s prophecy about the coming Messiah.  He is definitely my wonderful savior because I would be lost without Him.  He’s my counselor when no one else has an answer to my problems. He’s a mighty God and no man on earth or devil in hell can stand against Read More

Thanksgiving Day: Thanking God for His Goodness

Thanksgiving is the only day set aside in the United States in which people pause, as a nation, to Thank God for all He has done and for the freedom we have to worship Him. We have so much to be thankful for because God is so GOOD, and His mercy endures forever (Psalm 106). Read these entire chapters daily! How do we practice thanksgiving daily? Let us intentionally give God THANKS and PRAISE regardless of how we may feel or what is currently going on in our lives. HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH! We need to practice giving God THANKS every Read More
